Principal Technical Expert – System Integration

The Interface and Integration Engineer manages Subsea, Umbilical, Riser & Flowline (SURF) and Hardware Distribution and Control systems integration/interfaces with delivery teams and contractors across other scopes of the Bonga North Project (topsides, subsurface, and wells). Reports day-to-day to the Principal Interface/Integration Engineer (EPC 2_3).

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, define, and map out all interfaces and associated bodies; implement and monitor interface management plans with clear objectives, matrices, and timelines.

• Manage the implementation of the BN Interface Management Plan scope, ensuring timely identification and resolution of interface issues between contractors.

• Act as a proactive HSSE and quality leader, embedding safety and quality into systems integration work to drive zero harm to people or the environment.

• Coordinate subsea flowlines, hardware, and riser/umbilical scope interfaces.

• Proactively identify/resolve integration gaps, manage technical interface risks, and champion interface management software across the project team.

• Manage the project SIMOPS plan in coordination with wells and asset operation activities.

• Responsible for scope interface diagrams, interface data, EPC responsibility matrices, and project interface query registers for SURF.

• Participate in key EPC detailed design activities and workshops (HAZOP, HAZID, ALARP assessments).

• Support rig sequencing alignment, Management of Change (MoC) implementation, and the Project to Asset (P2A) transfer process.

• Provide multidisciplinary support across process, instrumentation, mechanical, and technical safety domains.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Subsea Engineering with professional engineering registration.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in specialized software such as Orcaflex, Shear7, Offpipe, Abaqus, or Pipelay. Strong understanding of industry standards (DNV, API, ASME, etc.).

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
